Country powerhouse Carly Pearce kicked off football Sunday with a show-stopping rendition of the national anthem at the NFC Championship Game on Sunday, January 24.
Before the Green Bay Packers and Tamp Bay Buccaneers took the field to determine who will be heading to the Super Bowl LV, Pearce graced our TV screens to sing the patriotic hymn. The country singer was not physical on the field due to COVID-19 regulations.
While her performance was filmed elsewhere, the country star fully delivered “The Star-Spangled Banner” and made waves on the jumbotron at the legendary Lambeau Field (home of the Packers.)
“I am so honored to be able to do this,” Pearce shared with her fans on Twitter before the game.

“The Star-Spangled Banner” is infamously known as a difficult song to sing. It requires a seasoned performer with an impressive vocal range to successfully achieve the track and to receive a positive reaction from eager football fans.
The Kentucky vocalist did just that. Although Pearce was dressed in casual attire, her country twang, her breath control, her remarkable high notes, and of course, her confidence left fans in awe and ready to play ball.
After the performance and a tight game, the Buccaneers and quarterback Tom Brady took home the NFC Championship crown. The team will be making their way to the Super Bowl come Sunday, February 7. This will be Brady’s 10th Super Bowl appearance and Tampa Bay’s first time back on the Super Bowl field since 2002.
May 2021 be the year of Country Music, as Grammy-nominated artist Eric Church will also be bringing the heat that day, as he will be singing the national anthem.
