Today (March 1), Keith Urban dropped a new single, “Messed Up As Me” as apart of a new album yet to be named.
Produced by Dan Huff, the song trails “Straight Line” and Urban says about the song, “Most of us have been in dysfunctional relationships before, where there’s not a lot of compatibility, except for that one area where it’s so good you put up with all the rest. A phone call or a night out and you’re right back where you shouldn’t be.”
Many of our favorite singers and songwriters are gearing up to release records later this year, and many are dropping offerings in preparation. Kenny Chesney dropped another tasting off BORN out March 29 titled “Guilty Pleasure.” Carly Pearce released “hummingbird” today in anticipation of her record coming June 14 and Maggie Rose dropped “No One Gets Out Alive” and “Mad Love” off of No One Gets Out Alive coming April 5.
In anticipation of her forth-coming record, Musgraves announced the Deeper Well World Tour with special guests Madi Diaz, Father John Misty, Lord Huron and Nickel Creek. Coupled with this tour announcement, the songstress delivered another composition off of Deeper Well titled “Too Good To Be True.”
“Coming Home To You” is MacKenzie Porter’s newest release off of her impending album, Nobody’s Born With A Broken Heart, out April 26. Written with Tofer Brown, Lauren Hungate, Caroline Watkins and Emily Weisband, the romantic song follows previously released tracks “Pay Me Back In Change”, “Nobody’s Born With A Broken Heart”, Easy To Miss” and “Young At Heart”.
Porter spills about the song, “This song is the most representative of where I am in my life right now. You can have the nicest car, the biggest house, and all the money in the world, but none of that matters if you don’t have the people you love to share it with. Coming home to family, friends, my husband, and soon my daughter; that’s what life’s about.”
SO many more songs and projects make up this week’s playlist, including Grown by Peytan Porter, Troublemaker by Trey Lewis, “Midwest Rock & Roll” by Ryan Hurd, “By Heart” by Jordan James, “Called Crazy” by Kassi Ashton, “Does Heaven Have A Creek” by Elvie Shane, “Somewhere Between” by Dylan Gossett, “Wild Than Tame” by Chase Bryant, “Slow Dance” by Scotty McCreery, “Wreck Of My Heart” by Skip Ewing, “2AM in London” by Morgan Wade, “Moving Target” by Adam Doleac, “Wasn’t Looking” by Clare Dunn, “Small Town Spinnin’” by MaRynn Taylor, “4 Wheel High” by Sean Stemaly and “Darlin'” by Jenna Paulette.
