As New Music Friday comes to an end (sadly) for the year, the Celeb Secrets Country gals hand-picked their newest favorites of this week to gently send you off into your holiday break.

GRAMMY nominees and Texas group Midland dropped their latest single “Up In Texas” today (December 15) following the announcement of their tour of the same name – Up in Texas Tour. Written alongside Josh Osborne and Bryan Simpson, honky-tonk Texas-lovin’ ballad pays homage to the place they call home – The Lone Star State.

Midland’s Jess Carson gushes, “‘Up In Texas’ might be an ode to the place where we formed as a band, but it is meant to be blasted from a dusty old jukebox anywhere on the planet.”

“We’re thrilled to announce new music is on the way,” the band said. “‘Up In Texas” is meant to be blasted from a dusty old jukebox anywhere on the planet. It’s an ode, a love song to the place where we formed the band – Texas.”

The seven-stop Texan Up In Texas Tour inaugurates February 9th in San Antonio, Texas at the San Antonio Rodeo and is bringing along country singer + songwriter Dylan Gossett.

Other songs that we LOVE this week that fabricate this week’s New Music Friday playlist are Owen Riegling’s “Whatever It Is,” Dasha’s “King of California,” Kenzie Cait’s “don’t break my…,” Taylor Edwards’ “Counterfeit,” Greylan James’ “Ain’t Thinkin’ Bout You,” Troy Cartwright’s “Deathbed,” Cody Hibbard’s “18 Days,” Kelsey Lamb’s “You Made Me – Acoustic” and Carson Wallace’s “Light of Day.”
