Today’s New Music Friday playlist is brimming with exciting new releases (November 17).
Dolly Parton is trying something new. The 77-year-old country force of nature has released her first ever rock album titled Rockstar. This is the singer’s 49th studio album from Butterfly Records/Big Machine Label Group and features some of the biggest names including Chris Stapleton, Miley Cyrus, Brandi Carlile, Elton John, Lizzo, Stevie Nicks, Steven Tyler, Kid Rock, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Lynyrd Skynyrd and more.
“I can’t tell you how proud I am of the ‘Rockstar’ album and I can’t tell you how happy I am that it’s finally here to be released!” she captioned the post. “I really had a wonderful time working with all these iconic artists on the record and all these iconic musicians. Not to mention all these great iconic songs that I think everybody will love hearing again. I just hope you enjoy my version of them!”

Justin Moore unveiled a distinctive side of his personal side in new single titled “This is My Dirt” written with Paul DiGiovanni, Randy Montana and Jeremy Stover. Moore documented that this song pays homage to the land his family has owned since the 1800s and all the work and dedication it’s taken to be the piece of land that it is today.
A lot of familiar faces are included this week as well as some new favorites! This week we have music from Brian Kelley, Warren Zeiders, Midland, Troy Cartwright, Dasha, Renee Blair, Mackenzie Porter and Joe Nichols. A couple of collaborations are also included, such as The Wilder Blue‘s and Luke Combs‘ “Seven Bridges Road,” Tyler Halverson and Carter Faith‘s “Tiffany Blue” and ERNEST and Steve Aoki‘s “Us.”
We have multiple full-length projects this week that we are really lovin’ including Wyatt Flores‘ EP, Life Lessons, Austin Burke‘s Dreams, Lauren Watkins‘ Introducing: The Heartbreak and Vinnie Paolizzi‘s debut The Vinnie Paolizzi LP. The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes has also dropped featuring Flatland Cavalry‘s “Wool.”
