After 16-years of being a star performer and artist in the music industry, multi-platinum entertainer Jason Aldean announced the release of his tenth studio album Macon, Georgia.
Fans of the three-time Entertainer of the Year are in for a treat with this new record, as the album is a double project with 30 tracks that includes 20 new and at least one live hit off each of his previous albums.
“Where you were raised has such a big influence on who you become and for me it’s no different…especially from a music standpoint,” Aldean said in a statement. “My little hometown of Macon was heavily instrumental in my musical background. Growing up in an environment that was a crossroads between Country music, Southern rock, blues and R&B, it was just natural to blend different sounds in my on way.”
The first part of the album, Macon, will arrive on Friday, November 12th and feature the top 5 smash debut single “If I Didn’t Love You” with Carrie Underwood, nine new songs and five live tracks. The second part, Georgia will arrive on on April 22, 2022, and the full release will also be marked by a commemorative three-disc vinyl set. Beginning today, fans can pre-order the first 15 songs here.
Macon, Georgia is the follow up to the entertainer’s ninth studio album 9, which was released back in 2019. While sitting down for an interview with CS Country, Aldean shared that he will play shows and make music as long as he wants to, as being a country star feels like a “life gig.”
“At this point, I kind of feel like it’s a life gig. I can go play shows as long as I want to at this point. I may not be doing it on the level I’m doing them now, but I’ll always be able to go and play if people show up,” Aldean adds, “With the two younger [kids,] I want them to grow up and experience it a little bit. I don’t want them to just see that stuff in pictures from the past. So, I don’t see [myself] retiring… maybe ever.” You can read more from our interview here.
Along with creating and announcing his upcoming album, Aldean recently launched his latest collaboration, Wolf Moon Bourbon — an 80 proof bourbon that has been distilled from Midwestern grains and aged for four years offering a finish of caramel, oak and spice. He’s also continuing his massive BACK IN THE SADDLE TOUR 2021, which features special guests HARDY, Lainey Wilson, John Morgan and Dee Jay Silver. The tour will make stops this week in Phoenix, AZ (9/30), Albuquerque, NM (10/01) and Denver, CO (10/2).
