Dan + Shay will not be going to bed anytime soon, as the dynamic duo will be raising a glass of bubbly together to celebrate hitting No. 1 on the Mediabase Country Chart with their hit single “I Should Probably Go To Bed.”
This music milestone marks their eighth career and fifth consecutive chart-topper, following “Speechless,” “Tequila,” “All to Myself,” and “10,000 Hours,” featuring heartthrob Justin Bieber. Country music fanatics are not sleeping on this fire hit, as the single surpassed one million track counterparts and is predicted to receive more than 200 million global streams.
“We’re honestly so happy about this we could cry. We poured our hearts and souls into making this song at home during quarantine, and to see country radio + our fans embrace it has truly meant the world,” says Dan + Shay on Twitter. “Huge thanks to everyone who made ISPGTB the #1 song this week!,” they add.

The track did not just dominate the Mediabase Country Chart, but earned its place on Billboard’s “All-Genre Top 50 Best Songs of the Year List” and reached No. 1 on the Country Digital Songs Sales chart following its July 2020 release, thanks to their phenomenal and talented team. The single was produced by Smyers and was co-written alongside band member Mooney and pop songwriters Sean Douglas and Jason Evigan.
The superstar duo is currently GRAMMY-nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for their 3x Platinum single “10,000 Hours.” Dan + Shay have claimed this title in previous years. Make sure to watch the star-studded event to see these two musicians make waves on the big screen on its new date, Sunday, March 14, 2021.
