Wade Bowen sure knows how to bring the party when it comes to his live shows, and the Big Apple is getting a taste of it when he performs at New York’s Terminal 5 during the Texas Independence Day show tomorrow night.
Joined by Pat Green, Eli Young Band, and Casey Donahew Band, Bowen will celebrate Texas turning 182 years old by performing songs off his recently released album Solid Ground.
“I think this album really represents our live show better than any album I’ve ever had. It has grit, swagger, and grease like I’ve never had before,” Bowen told Celeb Secrets Country. When asked about what makes his show unique, Bowen said it nice and simple. “All I know is I have fun but also want the person in the audience to get more out of it then a good time. I love being that honest with the listener.”
In its one month of being available for listening to the public, Solid Ground debuted Top Ten on both the Billboard Independent Albums Chart (#7) and the Billboard Americana chart (#10). The record’s mix of country blues, rock, and Americana give it the perfect “Texas Country” sound, and it’s something that Bowen is really proud of.
“I love how hard I worked on this album and it’s release. I really believe in it more than anything I’ve ever done. I was lost coming into this album a little bit and working through this album truly helped me find myself in music again and give me back the confidence I’ve had for the majority of my career,” he shared. “It’s so Texas. It has a little bit of everything…rock, blues, country and everything in between. So I’m glad this album shows all of that off and brings it to my style of music as an artist.”
Join in on the Texas-size fun on Friday at Terminal 5 by purchasing tickets here. And as always, any patron with a Texas-related tattoo or wearing an article of clothing with a logo from a Texas college on it will receive one complimentary drink.
