As a part of this week’s New Music Friday, Ashley Cooke is BACK with two brand new singles, just a few weeks prior to the release of her debut double album, shot in the dark.

If you are unfamiliar with the budding songstress, Ashley Cooke is the perfect combination of “effortless vocal beauty and a bold sense of internal grit, freely mixing it up with the boys while she rallies the girls,” ultimately creating music that is truly as real as it gets.

Her newest singles, “enough to leave” and “your place,” are no exception, highlighting some of the not-so good parts of a relationship.

The rising country star shared in a tweet, “‘your place’ and ‘enough to leave’ are NOW YOURS. go listen, send to your toxic ex, blast for some car therapy 🤟”

Don’t mind if we do!

While the songs themselves are extraordinary, Ashley Cooke has even more new tunes on the way, with a 24-track project hitting all music streaming platforms on July 21st.

shot in the dark will contain collaborations with some of country music’s hottest names, from Nate Smith to Colbie Caillat to Jackson Dean to Brett Young, making for one of the longest (and soon-to-be greatest) debut albums by a female country artist to date.

A recent press release shared what her forthcoming album will entail, ultimately revealing that “Cooke’s sun-kissed blend of two-lane pop is on full display in the collection’s 24 tracks, inspired by true tales of love, heartbreak and all the moments in between.”

“Fully capturing the essence of a daring twenty-something growing up, chasing her dreams and taking risks, Cooke infuses heartfelt lyrics, captivating melodies and raw relatability as she invites listeners to come along for the ride,” and we seriously can’t wait to hear it for ourselves.

If the rest of the project is anything like “enough to leave,” “your place” and the rest of her pre-released singles, then listeners are sure to be in for a treat!
