Rascal Flatts Leaves Fans Wanting More at Nashville Stop of ‘Summer Playlist Tour’

Hit country trio Rascal Flatts took over Music City for their Summer Playlist Tour and completely exceeded expectations!

Taking place last night (July 6) at the Ascend Amphitheater in Downtown Nashville, the crowd was all in from the second they entered the venue as the energy was just completely overwhelming with good vibes and excitement.

Broken Bow Records’ King Calaway opened up the night and performed new songs that will be released on their debut album which is expected to come out in October of this year. The group definitely knew how to hold their own on such a large and dynamic stage, as they kept the attention of everyone in the crowd whether they were young or old.

When it was time for Rascal Flatts to take the stage, lead singer Gary Levox and his impeccable vocals filled the amphitheater while fans screamed to provide what sounded like background vocals to every single one of the hits played. Starting off with “These Days” and going down the list of No. 1’s the band has received, Rascal Flatts performed everything from “Fast Cars and Freedom” to their major classic, “My Wish.”

It was very clear how strong of a connection Rascal Flatts has with their fans as they didn’t even need to sing to have the fans lose their minds and scream back every single lyric. There were even times where Gary, Jay DeMarcus, and Joe Don Rooney merely had to play the chords and the crowd took it away without missing a beat or lyric. Truly a sight to see!

We’re not sure what Rascal Flatts has up their sleeves for next year, but if this tour says anything, it’s that they’re not slowing down anytime soon. These guys are truly still the real deal after all of these years and continue to connect fans with music/lyrics that remain timeless.
