Midland has been known to set trends, release incredible music and captivate audiences, but the Grammy-nominated group is looking to captivate audiences in a way that is different from their usual beat and path — a podcast.

The trio’s new podcast, titled Set it Straight: Myths and Legends, is an Amazon original podcast that hopes to separate fact from fiction in the country music world. Diving into country music’s most wondered stories, Midland is setting out to set the record straight.

But the group isn’t planning to do so alone. The Set it Straight: Myths and Legends will sport a star-studded list of special guests such as Martina McBride, Darius Rucker, Wynonna Judd, Jake Brennan and many more.

Midland lead vocalist Mark Wystrach shared in a press release that the show plans to find the answers to some country music’s most sought after questions with the help of some country music’s most sought after artists.

“Set It Straight: Myths and Legends is a chance for us to dive into the fascinating folklore and fables in and around country music and gives us an excuse to hang and informally chat with some of our biggest musical and artistic heroes,” said Wystrach.

In the same release, Midland bass player/vocalist Cameron Duddy gave fans a tease of what pressing topics can be anticipated.

“This is a real-life country Cinderella story: Martina McBride went from selling merch for Garth Brooks to opening for Garth Brooks seemingly overnight. Is it true? We had to talk to the legend herself to find out.”

And while fans will have to wait for the answers from McBride, listeners can anticipate an appearance from Brooks first.

The first guest joining Duddy and Wystrach is Brooks himself. These household names in music will dive into what really happened at the 1996 Fan Fair during Brooks’ marathon meet-and-greet.

And if this little taste isn’t already enough to entice listeners, just check out the show’s trailer below! Set It Straight: Myths and Legends premieres on Amazon Music on Aug. 25.
