Each show at the Opry has its fair share of incredible on-stage moments but Tuesday night’s Opry show delivered a moment The Isaacs may never forget.
Ricky Skaggs extended an invitation to The Isaacs to become members of the Grand Ole Opry and “If That Isn’t Love” to the well-deserving music group we simply don’t know what is!
The Isaacs initially took the stage that night to mark the release of their new album, The American Face. Skaggs presented the group with a framed artwork of the album to commemorate its upcoming release on August 13. But beyond celebrating the album, Skaggs had an exciting surprise up his sleeve.
“Presented to The Isaacs on August 10, 2021, to commemorate the release of the album The American Face,” the country music icon began to read off the scripture on the framed artwork. “… and to celebrate your invitation to become official members of The Grand Ole Opry.”
The group nearly dropped to the floor with disbelief, excitement, and sheer joy. After taking a moment all in, Skaggs then posed the ever so simple question, “Do you say yes?”
“Yes, of course, we will marry you!” said Sonya with a laugh.
“I’m crying my lashes off. I’m celebrating 50 years of singing and performing music,” said Lily. “This is the American dream.”
Ben then chimed in, singing the same praises, “I’m shaking so bad I can hardly talk, but I’m crying my lashes off too.”
“We will take the Opry everywhere we go and hope to make them proud,” said Becky.

The Isaacs will be formally inducted into the Opry on Sept. 14, becoming official members of what is often known as country music’s most famous stage. The feelings of love for the Opry exuded by The Isaacs are feelings that are reciprocated right back at them by the Opry family.
“The Isaacs are musical treasures. They are family,” said Opry Vice President and Executive Producer Dan Rogers. “I think, ‘man, is our audience lucky tonight’ every single time they take our stage. We’re honored they love the Opry like they do, and I am excited about the prospect of them delivering their powerful songs from the Opry circle for years to come.”
The group then continued to kick off the epic night with a performance of the title track from their brand new album! Fans can check out the entire replay-worthy song below.
