Lauren Alaina will be switching gears as she takes on a starring acting role alongside Tyler Hynes in Hallmark’s Roadhouse Romance.

The singer-songwriter took to Instagram today (June 14) to break the special news.

“HallMARK your calendars. My movie with @hallmarkchannel comes out September 11th #SurpriseNumberOne 💃,” wrote Alaina.

The film is set to kick off Hallmark’s 2021 Fall Harvest programming event, beginning  September 11th @ 9PM ET/PT on the Hallmark Channel. Fans of Alaina’s incredible talents know that having the country songstress on our small screen is the best way to fill our hearts this fall.

But what do we know about the film so far? According to Deadline, “Roadhouse Romance follows Lieutenant Callie Jackson (Alaina) who returns home after a military tour, expecting everything to pick up right where she left it. To her dismay, her late Grandfather’s BBQ is struggling, and her high school sweetheart has moved on. She has a run-in with Luke (Hynes), a TV director passing through town, who teaches her that sometimes it’s best to look forward instead of looking back.”

Although this movie will be the first of Hallmark’s 2021 Fall Harvest programming event, this is not Alaina’s first time on screen. Alaina has been on TV Shows, such as Nashville and American Idol, as well as starring in the 2017 film Road Less Travelled.

With this exciting new project keeping us at the edge of our seats, the “Getting Good” singer just keeps getting better!
