Abby Anderson is bringing her catchy tunes to the Big Apple tomorrow and we couldn’t be more excited about it!
The country singer will be headlining New York’s famed Mercury Lounge for a special live performance which she says is going to be a memorable night.
“I was raised on country music. It’s what I write and what I love to sing. I also LOVE New York and the history and character of that city,” Anderson told us when we asked what it meant to perform at such a milestone venue. “Playing the music I love in a city I find inspiring is going to make for a memorable night.”
While the crowd can expect Abby to perform songs off her latest EP I’m Good tomorrow night, it will be in a way that they’ve never imagined. “When I sing the songs from my EP live, I think there’s a lot more emotion. I always like to give a little story behind the song too,” Abby shared. “The response back after releasing this project has been surprising to me honestly. I mean I would never put out something I didn’t love or didn’t think was great, but it’s still surprising when people actually like it.”
It’s been a busy few months Abby. The Black River Entertainment artist just released her label debut EP last month and wrapped the her supporting gig on Brett Eldredge’s The Long Way Tour with Devin Dawson. She has two more headlining shows this weekend that you can purchase tickets for here and a stacked week around the 52nd Annual CMA Awards.
The one thing she can’t wait to in New York? Spend some quality time with the ladies that mean the most to her — her big sister, and as she calls her, her sweet, amazing mama. “All of New York will probably hear us Anderson gals having a good ole time together this week!” she said.
