MaRynn Taylor is one of Nashville’s newest starlets making a name for herself one catchy song at a time.
Her newest single “Small Town Spinnin’,” which dropped on March 1, trails a slew of introductory singles – “01”, “Make You Mine” and “Shakin’ In My Boots.” Written by Taylor, Erin Kinsey and Josh Kerr, the Y2K-inspired song encompasses all of the gossip that you’ll only see in a small town — perhaps Taylor’s hometown of Rockford, Michigan — including Jenny’s new blue front door that everybody hates and a secret relationship — which Taylor says makes the song more fun.
“Anyone who is from a small town is going to understand that talk goes around really fast,” Taylor told Celeb Secrets Country writer Brianna Vacca during CRS 2024 in Nashville back in February. “We took all of our experiences of being in a small town and put them into a song.”
The “Dads and Daughters” songwriter confessed that Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Shania Twain are all influences to her, and that the instrumentation depicts a 2000s country electric guitar sound and suggested that “The More Boys I Meet” by Underwood is “just her.”

Her debut EP, Get To Know Me, is slated for May 31st and is produced by Kerr. The songstress teased that the title track “Get To Know Me” is going to be her “most vulnerable song” that she’ll ever get to release because of its’ story. She also has a new single, “How It’s Gonna Go,” written with Kerr and Parker Welling, coming on April 12th.
“I’ve known for a long time that I don’t want to settle,” Taylor says of her forthcoming single. “I know what I want in a relationship, and this song reiterates that. I feel confident when I sing this because that is how it’s going to go. If I’m going to give my heart to somebody, they need to understand that I know what I deserve and am sure of who I am.”
