Trent Harmon returned to the American Idol stage last night (5/13) to chat with host Ryan Seacrest about life after the show and his forthcoming debut album.

The reigning champ offered words of wisdom to the new crop of contestants and proved hard work is key even beyond the victory.

“It is so surreal to be back in the same spot I stood almost exactly two years ago,” mused Trent. “It hasn’t always been an easy road but I am so thankful to everyone who has stood by me. I am pumped to finally hold the album in my hands!”

The Mississippi native recorded the album in Nashville and spent the last couple of years delving deeper into songwriting. Trent is credited on eight of the 11 tracks, including his current Top 40 and rising single “You Got ‘Em All,” across the Jimmy Robbins and Scott Borchetta co-produced project.

Trent’s debut album You Got ‘Em All drops this Friday, May 18th!
