Reba McEntire appeared on CBS This Morning earlier today (March 1) to reveal the nominees for the 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards and our gal Carly Pearce made the coveted list!
Nominated for New Female Vocalist of the Year, this is the 27-year-old’s first ACM nomination but definitely not her last. Pearce took to social media to share her excitement, saying:
“I have dreamt of being nominated for an ACM Award my entire life,” shared Carly. “All the years I watched the show from my couch, wondering if I’d ever make it to the awards as a nominee are now coming true. I LOVE YOU COUNTRY MUSIC!!”

Pearce heard the big news on her Southwest flight this morning, and her reaction is hands down the cutest thing we’ve ever seen. With a full Boeing 737 congratulating her on this honor, it was truly a moment that everyone will remember.
