The 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards are finally here! They’ll be this Sunday, April 2nd, hosted LIVE by Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley in Las Vegas.
But first — the ACMs put on the 5th Annual Party for a Cause, a four-day star-studded event with concerts all over Las Vegas leading up to the big award show on Sunday!
Celeb Secrets Country is attending the ACMs this year and we were able to join in on all the ACM Party for a Cause fun!
The first event we attended? The Songwriter’s Showcase at The Palms Casino and Resort.
The lineup had the biggest names in country music songwriting: Lori McKenna (who wrote the reigning CMA Song of the Year), Shane McAnally, Hillary Lindsey, and many more. There were also some special guests — Dierks Bentley showed up to sing his hit single, “Black” – but he wasn’t the only one!
The songwriters gathered in front of 2,000 people with just their acoustic guitars and sitting in a classic Nashville writers round style and shared the backstory of how some of our favorite country songs came to be.
