Happy Monday, y’all!
Last month, I had the opportunity (along with our intern Isabel) to visit Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The four night/five day trip was for the resort’s “Story Behind the Songs” Concert Series, which featured performances by CURB Records’ recording artists Jerrod Niemann, Lee Brice, and Dylan Scott.
Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort is a one-of-a-kind, unbelievably exciting all-inclusive Turks & Caicos vacation for the whole family. A 45,000 square-foot waterpark; four magnificent villages, boasting the architecture and ambiance of Italy, France, the Caribbean and Key West; a 12-mile beach lapped by clear turquoise waters; endless fun activities for everyone, from tots to tweens and teens, featuring Sesame Street® characters, the Xbox Play Lounge and a sizzlin’ teen disco, Liquid at Beaches-all located on one of the world’s best beaches.
This was the first time Beaches Turks & Caicos hosted an event like this, and hotel manager James McAnally hopes they continue this concert series in the future. “It has been fantastic having Jerrod, Lee, and Dylan here,” he told us exclusively. “What I liked was the personal stories that were coming out with the entertainers, and I think that the crowd really enjoyed that and our guests really enjoyed that. It was a nice surprise for our guests, especially for our returning guests, as they come back and go ‘wow this is something else that is new!’ That is something else we do at this property, we are always adding things on, we are always improving things and adding little touches here and there. Our retuning guests are a big part of our business. Over half of our guests at any given day are returning here, so we want to make sure that there is something new to always look forward to.”
“It doesn’t get much better than this,” Dylan Scott told us. “This is paradise. I’ve been on the beach, went to the pool, and have been eating WAY too much.”
Over the course of two nights, country music fans were able to get the ultimate concert experience with two full sets from newcomer Dylan Scott and longtime BFFs Jerrod Niemann and Lee Brice. They were so intimate and right on the beach — pretty much a dream come true.
Dylan Scott was the first performer of the weekend and he swooned the audience with his sexy, deep voice. He started off the night right with “Ball Cap,” which caught the audience’s attention right away. Once Dylan sang his well-known song, “Makin” This Boy Go Crazy,” the crowd was tapping along with their feet and softly singing his lyrics, trying not to disturb the intimate concert. Of course we cannot forget when he sang “Crazy Over Me,” because we are absolutely crazy over Dylan Scott!

Throughout the concert, Dylan kept declaring his love for his wife, who on that day, celebrated ten years together as a couple. We have never been so jealous of a relationship, they are beyond adorable together!
“We were high school sweethearts,” Scott told us exclusively. I was 15 and she was 16 and we spent 10 years together this weekend which is absolutely crazy. We’ve only been married about four months though, so things are really good right now.”
The following night, best friends Lee Brice and Jerrod Niemann shared the stage on the beach, and it was by far one of our most memorable shows from covering country music. Brice and Niemann switched off singing their songs and would often chime in and sing with one another.
Our top favorite songs played by each artist were “Lover, Lover” by Jerrod Niemann and “I Drive Your Truck” by Lee Brice. When Brice sang “Hard To Love,” the whole audience sang along to the chorus and Lee could not stop smiling at the end of the piece. As soon as Jerrod Niemann played “Drink to That All Night,” every country music fan was belting every single word and holding their drinks up high so Jerrod could see they were relating to the song.

One of the highlights of the night was when Lee Brice gave a shoutout to our troops and sang “I Drive Your Truck.” There was not a dry eye in the audience — every person (including Isabel and me) was choked up and moved by his song. Of course, the two best friends could not end the night without singing their current hit, “A Little More Love!” The guys loved to sing the song together in such a fun and relaxed setting.
“Performing at Story Behind the Songs was so awesome. It’s something that we love to do, so thankfully we were able to do it with Beaches Resorts this weekend. We’ve been doing shows like this before we even had a tour bus or a song on the radio, so it’s kind of a treat for us to just hang out,” Lee Brice told us.
After Lee Brice and Jerrod Niemann‘s awesome performance, there was an afterparty at Club Liquid that was hosted by Dee Jay Silver. The party was filled with happy people, great music, and tasty drinks — there were people burning up the dance floor all night long!
As much as I hate to say it, all good things unfortunately have to come to an end. Thank you Beaches Turks & Caicos for a wonderful weekend! I can’t wait to visit y’all again soon.
Make your next trip a fun one by visiting Beaches Turks & Caicos with your family this year. For booking information, visit http://www.beaches.com/main/tc/tc-home/.
UPDATE: If you’re a couple and love country music, make sure to visit Sandals Royal Bahamian this December for the resort’s latest “Story Behind the Songs” event with Eli Young Band. Take my word for it — it’s going to be lit.
