Just two days after her thirteenth birthdayTegan Marie has officially become a member of the Country Music Association; the youngest to be exact.

“I was SO excited to become a CMA member and represent with my CMA hat at school just about every day,” shares Tegan. “To be able to sing a song by Faith Hill, who is such a legend, and have it be a part of CMA’s cover series is such an honor.”

In honor of her induction, Tegan debuted her cover of Faith Hill’s blockbuster hit, “This Kiss,” as part of the CMA Forever Country Cover Series for the 50th Annual CMA Awards this afternoon.  The #1 single won the CMA Award for Song of the Year (1999) and earned two GRAMMY Award nominations.

Adding to the excitement, the young singer/songwriter can be seen at the inaugural CountryFlo Music Festival in Lake Wales, FL on November 4 and will perform on the “America Salutes You” concert to benefit military, veterans and their families at the Rosemont Theater in Chicago on November 12.
