Fans were in for a bit of a fright when Jason Aldean abruptly exited the stage after suffering from an illness on the Highway Desperado Tour when it stopped at the Xfinity Theatre in Hartford on Saturday (July 15).
The country singer was performing his hit “Crazy Town” when he suddenly ran off the stage without an explanation and then canceling the rest of the show.
#JasonAldean runs off stage at the #xfinitytheatre show in #HartfordCT. Poor guy. It was hotter than hell. It was bad enough just standing in the pit. I can’t imagine performing in jeans, boots, and hat under all those lights in that humidity with no breeze. Hope he’s okay! ❤️ pic.twitter.com/upwFybMjvS

Today (July 17) Aldean took to social media to address the situation and how he is feeling.
“I’ve had a lot of people checking on me today after hearing about what happened Saturday night at the show in Connecticut. Just wanna let you know, thanks to everybody who’s calling in, checking. I’m doing fine. Just one of those things. Man, it was hot, I was playing golf all day yesterday and then got to the show and just – I think it was a combination of dehydration and just heat exhaustion. So hearing a lot of stuff going around ‘heat stroke’ all this stuff. I don’t think it was quite that serious, but, it was pretty intense last night.”
Thanks everyone for checking in on me. Hartford, we’ll share rescheduled info soon. Saratoga Springs, see ya tonite!???????? pic.twitter.com/wVWGAmDmSZ

Now, it’s important to note the dangers of heat stroke and the warning signs as the summer concert and festival season continues. The Mayo Clinic states, “Heat exhaustion is a condition that happens when your body overheats. Symptoms may include heavy sweating and a rapid pulse. Heat exhaustion is one of three-heat-related illnesses, with heat cramps being the mildest and heatstroke being the most serious.”
It’s important to keep yourself hydrated and to know your body. If something feels off, especially in the heat, do what’s best for you.
Jason is continuing his Highway Desperado Tour this week, as he will make his way to Cuyahoga Falls, OH to perform at the Blossom Music Center on Thursday (July 20). As previously reported, the Hartford, CT date at Xfinity Amphitheater will now be rescheduled to Sunday, July 30. Tickets from the previous Hartford date (7/15) will be automatically valid for the new date.
We’re happy to see that Jason is safe and healthy again!
