Just days after receiving nominations for the upcoming 2023 CMT Music Awards for Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year, Carrie Underwood is back with a brand new single for this week’s New Music Friday!

Out Of That Truck” hit all music streaming platforms TODAY (March 10th), serving as Underwood’s first release since her Denim & Rhinestones album in June of 2022. Not only is today release day, but it is also Underwood’s 40th birthday, making this new song extra special 🎂

The country superstar took to Instagram this morning to share a clip of her creating the track, with a caption that reads, “Had some fun in the studio recently and for my birthday, I wanted to share my new song ‘Out Of That Truck’ with all of you!”

Yesterday (March 9th), Underwood FINALLY decided to announce the upcoming release of “Out Of That Truck,” but it was not by choice….

While it is assumed that the GRAMMY Award-winning artist wanted this track to be a part of a surprise drop, there was some buzz on social media from fans who noticed the preview for “Out of That Truck” on music streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. Because of this, Underwood took to Instagram to tease a snippet of the song, ultimately building up excitement for today’s release.

While the powerful vocals and guitar riffs make “Out Of That Truck” seem like a catchy, fun-filled song, the hot new track covers much more intense emotions than what fans would expect. The lyrics hint at the idea that even though a relationship may be over, the memory can live on, ultimately warning her ex that even though they are no longer together, memories of her will inevitably linger.

Carrie Underwood is not the only powerful woman with a FIRE new song this week! “Tennessee Orange” singer Megan Moroney released a brand new single titled “Lucky,” which serves as “a late-night buzz-colored anthem with playful confidence” — We are absolutely obsessed!

While this week’s New Music Friday playlist is stacked with girl power, some of our other favorite country stars released phenomenal singles, albums and EPs as well. Tim McGraw came out with “Standing Room Only,” Parker McCollum with “Speed,” Sam Hunt with “Outskirts,” Hunter Hayes with “Victory,” Restless Road with “I Don’t Wanna Be That Guy,” Willie Jones with “No Tellin’,” Griffen Palmer with “25 to Life,” Landon Parker with “Your Baby Girl,” Vincent Mason with “Didn’t Wanna Settle Down” and more.
