What a week for country music!
One of our favorite tracks on this week’s New Music Friday playlist is country superstar Chase Rice‘s brand new single “I Hate Cowboys,” released TODAY (January 6th) on all music streaming platforms.
Rice performed his hot new track on Good Morning America this morning, and the fans absolutely loved it! We already know this song will be a hit, setting the pace for a very successful album along with the other two pre-released singles “Way Down Yonder” and “Key West & Colorado.”
In November, Rice announced that he was officially done with I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell, his first full-length project since 2017 and an album that is EXTREMELY special to him.
“For 10 years I’ve put out glimpses of who I truly am in my music, but I’ve never been able to piece it all together. I was chasin’ whatever bullshit thing I thought I was supposed to be doing at the time. I’m done with that. February I’m putting out my first full album since 2017, and this one wrecked me. I finally deal with the loss of my dad in this music, and this is an album I know he would be proud of. I wouldn’t use his picture for the cover if I didn’t fully believe in these songs. Today would have been my parents 43rd wedding anniversary, so mom I love you, and dad, this one’s for you,” Rice revealed in an Instagram post on November 17th.
The album will hit all music streaming platforms on February 10th, and you can presave it HERE. Until it is released, we will be streaming “I Hate Cowboys” nonstop!
To make things even better, “I Hate Cowboys” is just one of several hot new tracks on this week’s New Music Friday playlist. Shania Twain came out with “Giddy Up,” Tyler Hubbard with “Me For Me,” Elle King with “Tulsa,” Old Dominion with “Memory Lane,” Roman Alexander with “Can I See My Dog,” Muscadine Bloodline with “Teenage Dixie,” Josh Ross with “Trouble,” Brett Kissel with “Never Have I Ever” and more.
Kasey Tyndall and Dylan Marlowe even teamed up for a new song titled “Place For Me,” and Cheat Codes and Dolly Parton teamed up for “Bets On Us.” These tracks are DEFINITELY two of our favorites this week!
To top it all off, some of our all-time favorite artists released new versions of their already incredible tracks. Brett Eldredge came out with “Hideaway – Studio Version,” Shane Profitt with “Better Off Fishin’ – Acoustic,” Thomas Rhett and Riley Green with “Half Of Me – Acoustic” and more.
