Happy New Music Friday!
While several country music megastars took a backseat this week, several Nashville newcomers have come out of the woodworks to show off their savvy songwriting abilities and radio-worthy vocals.
For instance, we have risk-taker Morgan Wade blessing us with her traditional country track “The Night” that showcases her sweet southern twang and Adam Doleac with his good-vibe anthem “Drinkin’ It Wrong,” which is destined to be on every 2022 pregame playlist. While we embrace the breakout stars on the rise in music city – we can’t help but appreciate and turn on Maddie & Tae’s new collection, Through the Madness Vol. 1.
The eight-track collection includes fan-favorites, “Woman You Got,” “Madness,” “Stranger,” and now an impressive collaboration with Morgane Stapleton. Together the three leading ladies in the industry joined forces to share a critical message to men with hit, “Don’t Make Her Look Dumb.” Throughout the lyric-driven single, the powerful vocalists stress that women are “done” playing foolish games and that men should be transparent when involved in a romantic relationship.
This album is the product of finding and focusing on the beauty, love, growth, strength and wisdom you gain through the madness if you look for it. 🤍 Listen here: https://t.co/19DK87Nyth pic.twitter.com/SWaVpFisaF

“Bad boys seem like a good idea/’til its too late/ It seems like you’re enjoying this, like you’re doing it for fun/ If you don’t love her, leave her, tell her that you’re done/ Just don’t make her look dumb for loving you,” they sing in the chorus.
The highly-anticipated record follows their praised album, The Way It Feels. The successful sophomore collection includes their chart-topping single “Die From a Broken Heart,” which went double-platinum.
