Dating is tough and in today’s modern world, it can be even tougher. Some loves stick around, while others come and go before the memories and feelings earn an official label. Often times a heart doesn’t break even, leaving many left with nothing but the feelings and memories of a love they never technically had.

For country songstress Dani Taylor, this scenario is one she knows very well, as she poured her experiences into her latest track “Strangers Again.”

“This song was inspired by a situation-ship I was in earlier this year. I was taken by surprise and before I knew it, he said he didn’t want anything serious. Then I was left with memories of someone I basically wasn’t with in the first place. Nashville is a small town, and everywhere I went, or things I would drive by, would remind me of him,” shared Taylor in an exclusive interview with Celeb Secrets Country.

The artist also shared that the initial inspiration for the song came to development when she was inspired by a TikTok!

“This song was written because I saw a TikTok of a girl just staring and the caption said ‘all that just to be strangers again,’ and it really hit me,” said Taylor. “I related so much to that simple sentence that I wrote it into a song!”

Taking an unfortunate dating reality and penning it into a total hit, Taylor’s song easily resonates with so many fans. And while Taylor is singing about being a stranger again to an ex-budding-love, she is no stranger to releasing incredible music.

“Strangers Again” follows up after her single “Table for One Drinking for Two.” This sassy and empowering song has made absolute waves with over 1.5 million streams on Spotify alone.

While Taylor has still kept her incredible vocals, catchy lyrics and undeniable talent, the artist says that this new song sports a more mature style than “Table for One Drinking for Two.”

“My sound is a bit more mature, I think. I’ve grown a lot since I’ve written “Table for One,” said Taylor. ““Strangers Again” shows an emotional side to me that I’ve never shown before. I used to think I always had to be positive, but this song showcases a vulnerability I’ve never shown before.”
