Day one of qualifying races and practices is here and attendees can rev up their engines for the start of a great weekend! Although today doesn’t sport any official races, fans can still anticipate watching the drivers burn rubber on the track for practice.

10:00 AM: The gates have opened and the Grand Prix has wasted no time getting the party started! Head on over to the New Sound of Nashville Stage for a performance by Chris Shrader. The Tennessee native serves up an undeniable country sound with elements of electrifying rock music!

11:30 AM: Keeping the ball rolling at the New Sound Stage is Waker! The six-piece musical group will be shaking things up with a new sound at New Sound. The musical group is well known for it’s mixed elements of classic rock, Motown soul, jam-band music, and indie rock genres. The group is set to make some major waves this year with the upcoming release of their debut album!

12:40 PM: After a morning full of music, it’s time to see the track in action! Find a seat and get ready to race as the SRO GT America kicks off at 12:40. This event on the card is then followed by SRO GT America Practice 1 at 1:15 PM, the Trans Am Practice 2 at 2:15 PM, the NITT Indycar Series Practice 1 at 3:10 PM and the Stadium Super Trucks Practice at 4:45 PM.

5:00 PM: Just half an hour later and the can’t-miss concerts are back! This time fans are heading over to Main Stage for the first  artist of the evening, Drew Green. Green is a near-Nashville-native with a talent for writing incredible music. Known for hits such as “She Got That” and “Right Where I Be,” Green is quickly becoming a household name in country.

7:00 PM: Bringing day one to an epic close at the Main Stage, 7:00 PM calls for the Wesley Financial Freedom Friday Tribute Concert. The mega concert will include performances by Brooks & Dunn, Jamey Johnson, Motley Crue’s Vince Neil, Tyler Farr, John Elefante and Sixwire! Bringing together all these incredible names in music, it may seem hard to top the first day! Head on over to see what is set for day two of this incredible weekend.
