It is no longer news to anyone that celebrity couple Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have tied the knot!

The two opted for an intimate wedding on July 3 with strictly family and just a few friends in attendance.

With this in mind, not all close celebrity friends of the two made it onto the guest list and Trace Adkins was no exception! In a lighthearted and loving manner, Adkins has shared how he really feels about his lack of an invite.

Adkins told Taste of Country that he was in on the big day and knew the wedding was set to occur.

“Oh, yeah. He told me,” said Adkins “I mean, he didn’t invite anybody to the wedding.”

Adkins then further explains why he “wouldn’t” care to attend if he did make the guest list cut.

“I probably wouldn’t want to come, anyway, because I didn’t want to witness that woman throw her life away like that,” Adkins jokes. “So, I didn’t wanna go, anyway.”

Keeping it in good spirit, fans of both Adkins know that the country star is defintely happy for his long-time friend Shelton.
