Dan + Shay’s “Glad You Exist” Performance From the Bluebird Café
The dynamic duo ran into technical difficulties during their 2021 ACM Awards performance, which brought fans to social media wondering if Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney were lip-syncing their recently released single “Glad You Exist.” However, the group explained that it was an audio glitch that occurred.
“It’s been a difficult time to put these award shows together during these crazy times, and a lot of us have had to pre-tape our performances, and that’s what we did,” says Mooney in the virtual ACMs press room. “we pre-taped it yesterday. We were super stoked about the performance.”
The duo might have not delivered their best and favorite performance of all time, but at least they walked away as “Duo of The year” titleholders.
