Queeva is gearing up for the release of her new single “Show Off” and Celeb Secrets Country has your first listen!
The budding singer/songwriter may be young, but her drive, dedication, and talent have already made her dream of becoming a leading vocalist in the country music industry a reality. The 17-year-old country-pop artist from the Chicagoland area comes from a unique background, which you can hear often through her thoughtful and dynamic song lyrics.
The rising-star splits her time between the United States and the country of Ireland, leaving the aspiring musician to pull inspiration from different styles of music from overseas, legends like Dolly Parton and Randy Travis, and even the ones closest to her. “All my family members in Ireland are big country music fans,” says Queeva.
After applying her diverse upbringing into her storytelling and teaming up with well-known songwriter/ producer Jamie O’Neal, the fresh-face of country has dominated music city with her recent tracks. Following mega-success with her 2020 singles “Above Water,” “Waste My Time,” and her 2021 hit “Slow Down Time,” the artist decided to keep up the positive momentum and drop her most recent banger “Show Off.”
The up-tempo country-pop tune released on February 26 and has already gained traction from her supportive fanbase. Queeva penned “Show off” alongside Trent Tomlinson and Brandon Darcy. “‘Show Off ’ is definitely one of my favorite songs I have written so far,” says the talented soloist. “I think it’s important for people to remember that they don’t have to be someone that they aren’t just to impress another person.”
To go along with the singles inspiring message, she decided to channel her inner creativity and bring her lyrics to life in a moving music video, that captures the significance of remaining true to oneself. “I remember talking to the director, Preston Leatherman, over the phone about the song, and when you think of a person who likes to “show off,” a cool car just came to mind,” shares the country singer about the brainstorming session. “We based it around the idea of a nice car and the guy and I being dressed super fancy, but towards the end of the video, we are casually dressed and able to just be ourselves,” she adds.
As the artist continues to create waves from Chicago to Nashville, Queeva warns music-goers to buckle up because she’s currently working on other buzzworthy tunes that will be hitting streaming platforms soon. “I’ve been doing a lot of writing and spending time in the studio. I’m excited for people to hear what I have been working on!”
