Dolly Parton has officially announced that she will be releasing her first ever children’s album, I Believe In You, this fall!
The big news was revealed at a special press conference for the media (and their kids) in Nashville, and Celeb Secrets Country was onsite to capture it all. Transforming NOVE Entertainment into a fairy garden was the perfect way to share this upcoming project as it appealed to everyone of all ages in attendance.
“My first album was released 50 years ago and it’s been an amazing 50 years since then. I am very excited that now I’m coming out with my first children’s album! I’m so proud to say that all of the proceeds from this CD will go to the Imagination Library!” Parton shared on Instagram.
All of the proceeds off this upcoming album are going to be contributed to her Imagination Library. Parton founded the Imagination Library more than 20 years ago in Sevier County, Tennessee, and since then it has expanded to helping children all across the globe! The Imagination Library sends free books to children to help spark the love for books amongst young children.
It has been fifty years since Parton released her first album, however, this is her first children’s album and she hopes to make a large impact with it. Parton stated that writing this album was very different from her other albums because it is much more playful and relaxed, she even wrote in a treehouse to connect with being a kid again. The 14-track record is filled with important lessons and morals for young children, suggesting them to be kind to one another, do the right thing, and to stay strong!
I Believe in You will be released digitally on September 29, through Dolly Records / RCA Nashville, physical copies will be available in stores worldwide on October 13th.
