Texas trio Midland delivered stellar performances during the 2017 South by Southwest® festival (SXSW) bringing their new brand of traditional Country music to their hometown of Austin.

The band kicked off the weekend with a captivating acoustic set at the Apple Music House, stunning with their debut single “Drinkin’ Problem.” The song currently sits at No. 14 on the iTunes Top Country Songs chart and has skyrocketed to No. 32 at Country radio after only four weeks of airplay.

Lead singer Mark Wystrach, bass player Cameron Duddy and guitarist Jess Carson proved “there’s a new trio ready to take the country world by storm” as festival goers reveled in their “retro-modern” sound. Swiftly vocalizing their three-part harmonies, Midland closed out their night at the Big Machine Label Group, presented by TuneIn, where they had the capacity crowd roaring along to their larger-than-life performance.

Midland released their five-track, self-titled EP on Big Machine Records last fall. The trio worked with producers Dann Huff, Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne and co-wrote each song on the project.

Midland will hit the road later this year as part of Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s highly-anticipated Soul2Soul World Tour for select dates.
