Did ya know that there’s more than just Fan Fair X and the nightly concerts at Nissan Stadium at CMA Fest? Yep you heard us — there are many free and inexpensive activities around town, with one of them being a visit to The Listening Room Café.
The Listening Room is an iconic place in Nashville. The restaurant and bar/music venue is open all week during CMA Fest and features performances from some of country music’s biggest stars. One of our favorite events at The Listening Room is Diva Jam, which we had the opportunity of attending for the second year in a row earlier this month.
Diva Jam is apart of the women in country music movement that is hosted by up-and-coming singer/songwriter Olivia Lane. The afternoon event is separated into two “rounds” that features performances from country music’s budding female population. This year’s show featured performances from April Kry, Megan & Liz, Mary Sarah, Stephanie Quayle, Rae Solomon, Tegan Marie, Sandra Lynn, and Rachele Lynae.
Celeb Secrets Country had the pleasure of not only seeing each artist perform, but also catching up with host and performer Olivia Lane after it was all over. In our interview, the “Make My Own Sunshine” singer talks about how important events like Diva Jam are to the women in country music movement, her CMA Fest stage debut, and her experience at the 2016 CMT Music Awards. She also talked about her upcoming tour this summer and her new EP that is expected to drop on July 29th — make sure to watch the full video below for more!
