Dee Jay Silver is getting ready to take Las Vegas and the country by storm.

The groundbreaking DJ/remixer/producer returned to Vegas for the ACM Concert for A Cause Festival in early April and will continue to perform in Sin City as he launches residencies at the Rehab Pool at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, where he’ll be performing at the Friday afternoon pool party at least once a month, the Foundation Room inside Mandalay Bay, where he’ll be appearing monthly on Friday nights and the LAX Nightclub inside the Luxor Hotel & Casino.

But Silver isn’t just limiting himself to Vegas. He’s also heading back out on the road with Jason Aldean for the “We Were Here Tour 2016” to entertain the crowds between sets by Aldean, Thomas Rhett and A Thousand Horses. The tour will make its way throughout North America before finishing up October 1 in Bristow, VA.

Throughout the tour, Silver will also perform select headlining shows, including May 21 at the Foundation Room in Dallas, and will appear at country music festivals Rock the South (June 3-4 in Cullman, AL), Carolina Country Music Festival (June 10-12 in Myrtle Beach, SC), Windy City LakeShake Music Festival (June 17-19 in Chicago, IL), Faster Horses Country Music Festival (June 15-17 in Brooklyn, MI) and Watershed Music Festival (July 29-31 and August 5-7 in George, WA).

As if that isn’t enough, Silver continues to hosts his own nationally syndicated country radio show called “The Country Club with Dee Jay Silver.” Each week, the show features up-tempo mixes and mash-ups of hits from country music’s biggest stars and newcomers, with an infusion of unique rhythms and occasional tracks from other genres.

Plus, Silver is releasing his first single “Just Got Paid feat Ryan Upchurch” Friday, May 27 (Pre-order on iTunes right now!) and is working on putting together a full album – the man is non-stop!

Celeb Secrets Country spoke with Silver about his crazy schedule at his Las Vegas residencies and on the We Are Here Tour, and he told us about his first single “Just Got Paid,” his favorite artists to remix with and how he’s preparing for his first kid – make sure to check out our exclusive Q&A below!

Celeb Secrets Country: You’re heading back out on tour with Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett and A Thousand Horses. Are you excited to get back out on tour with these guys?

Dee Jay Silver: “Yeah, we’re actually in the bus headed to Mohegan Sun now. We’ve only been apart about a month but once you’ve spent as much time with each other as we do we become a big family and you kind of can’t wait to get back on the road with them. It’s always a good time to have everybody back together. It’s something we look forward to all year long.”

Celeb Secrets Country: You recently re-launched your residency in Las Vegas at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Rehab Pool and you have residencies at Foundation Room and LAX Nightclub. How is it performing in Vegas all of the time? How do you have the energy for it?

Dee Jay Silver: “I’ve been playing Vegas for a long time and it’s something, you know, this year we’ve traveled so much in the last five or six years out here with Jason that I have one week in a month off and I told my agent, I said, I’m not interested in playing in Miami on Thursday, LA on Friday and Chicago on Saturday. Let’s just focus everything on Vegas because it’s a time when I get to see all of my friends because all of my friends are always in Vegas. Vegas is probably my favorite place in the world to play. There’s always a crowd. It’s always different people. It’s always big energy. Everybody’s coming to let loose, coming to party. It’s hand down my favorite place to play in the country.”

Celeb Secrets Country: You also have some headlining sets coming up next month in Dallas and Vegas and some festival appearances in June. I mean your schedule is just insane. How do you do it? What do you do for down time?

Dee Jay Silver: “You know it’s a lot of flying with the headlining stuff because I’m a one-man-show when we’re headlining. It’s just me and one other guy. Like yesterday, we played in Charlotte, flew back and caught a bus to Nashville. The traveling catches up to you every once in a while, but the adrenaline and the energy takes over once you get there. My favorite time of the year is the fairs and the festivals. You get out there and see all of your friends. It’s amazing to have Florida Georgia Line, Cole Swindell, Eric Church, Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, every one on the same weekend and 30,000 to 35,000 people pay to see you.”

Celeb Secrets Country: Have you had any time at all to be in the studio and work on some original stuff?

Dee Jay Silver: “Absolutely. My first single called “Just Got Paid” comes out Friday, May 27, as a matter of fact. We have an entire album coming out. We’re just going to release it as singles. We get home on Sunday nights and Monday is usually my studio day. Tuesday I do my radio show and Wednesday we leave, so we’ve been setting up a ton of time in the studios, mastering and remastering. The single is going to be featuring a guy named Ryan Upchurch. He’s a young kid, independent, huge following, crazy talented, and like I said, the single is called “Just Got Paid,” and me and my producer Jared Shulo from Five Star Productions, him and I just got in the studio with a guy named Austin Webb, and we sat down and wrote and produced the whole record.”

Celeb Secrets Country: Is there an artist out there right now that you’re really into and can’t wait to include in some of your remixes or have already started including?

Dee Jay Silver: “I absolutely love working with Thomas Rhett. I mean, that’s my guy right there. He’s crazy talented. He’s young. He gets it. He plays what the audience wants. I love the Jason Derulos. But man, I’ll tell ya, I would give anything just to be able to get down with Eric Church or Dierks Bentley for a little while. And as funny as it sounds, I’m a huge Taylor Swift fan. I think it’d be so cool to work with Taylor.”

Celeb Secrets Country: What’s your favorite remix to play for fans? Do you ever have fans suggesting songs that you should mix?

Dee Jay Silver: “All the time (laughs). It’s so funny. I’ll look up and I have a bunch of emails of like, you should play Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire” with “Burn Baby Burn,”you know (laughs). Some of them just don’t work. The best remixes are the ones that happen organically, like my favorite, probably the one people request the most, is I mixed “Dust On The Bottle” with J-Kwon’s “Tipsy” years and years ago and every night people still ask for that or RUN-DMC’s “Walk This Way” with Alabama’s “Fiddle In The Band.”  It seems like every night people ask for those.”

Celeb Secrets Country: You and your wife are expecting a baby in September, so congratulations! How’s the pregnancy going so far? Do you know the gender? Do you have any baby names picked out? Are you reading up on what to expect?

Dee Jay Silver: “She’s five months pregnant yesterday. We picked a name, we know what it’s going to be, we’re just not telling anybody, but no, we’re super excited for the first kid. So far, she’s been great. She travels with me a lot. It’s getting to the point now where travels been a little too much for her so she’s staying at home probably here on out, but no, she loves being pregnant I guess. Haven’t heard any complaints yet. She’d tell me, trust me. So far, we’re super excited.”

Celeb Secrets Country: Once the baby comes, will your schedule slow down at all?

Dee Jay Silver: “Well we finish the tour the first week of October and the baby is due the first week of September, so I’ll probably take some time off full-time in October. I got some spot dates like Talladega and PBR in Vegas and Halloween, it’s not on the schedule yet, but we’re going to be heading out to the Cayman Islands for a week for the Pirate Run, but I’m going to have time at home for sure.”

Celeb Secrets Country: Since we are Celeb Secrets Country, can you tell us something about yourself that your fans may not know?

Dee Jay Silver: “I’m a Netflix junkie. When I get home, I just like to get in the movie theater, turn off all of the lights and watch Netflix. I’ll look up and it’ll literally been the next day. I lose track of time.”
