This summer is going to be a big one for Dee Jay Silver!

Fresh off headlining Stagecoach‘s first-ever Neon Carnival last month, the groundbreaking DJ will be playing shows all summer as well as release his first full-length album in his 15+ year career.

“I have the best of both worlds,” Silver says to CS Country of his career path. “I play country music in the day and house music at night. I just love it.”

Fans received the first taste of what’s to come from Silver’s album with the release of  “Getaway Driver.” Featuring country duo Waterloo Revival, the high energy love song is the perfect way to describe the genre’s progressive sound, blending the best of both pop and country with infectious beats.

“The guys from Waterloo and I have been buddies for a while…we’re all from Austin, TX. I’ve always been a big fan of the music they make, so I reached out to George about my new album and asked if they’d be interested in being a part of it,” shares Silver in a statement. “George sent over a few songs they’ve done and ‘Getaway Driver’ stuck with me. It’s a perfect crossover track that fits on country radio, will sound great on Top 40 radio and will hold a room when I play in Vegas.”

The feelings were mutual for Waterloo Revival, who add, “We’ve been a fan of Silver‘s for a long time now, so when the opportunity to work together came up, we jumped on it.”

In addition to “Getaway Driver,” the album, titled Corners, captures the open-format performer’s unique ability to blend all types of music from hip-hop and rock to house and country into a non-stop at-home party featuring an array of guest artists from all genres. The record is also stacked with top-notch collaborations with artists including LOCASH, John Gurney, Rizzi Meyers, Constantine, among others.

Out of the 10 tracks that are featured on Corners, Silver says he’s most proud of his song with the guys from LOCASH.

“The one thing I’m really proud of is working with LOCASH,” he tells us. “The first tour bus I was ever on was with those guys about 12 or 13 years ago. We’ve been working forever, trying to do records together and finally we got a track together so it’s great.”

Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for Dee Jay Silver’s upcoming album and check out his tour dates here to see when he’s playing in your city. We had the time of our lives during Silver’s set at Neon Carnival and are pretty sure you’ll do the same!
