Frequent hit maker, Kelsey Ballerini must have a stash of pixie dust as her single “Peter Pan” has flown up the country charts. Ballerini had quite the 23rd birthday celebration, Tuesday September 12, when she became the first female country artist to reach the top of the country charts with three consecutive singles off of a debut album.

“Love Me Like You Mean It,” Ballerini’s first single, debuting in September 2014 climbed up the charts while her second single “Dibs” was short to follow. Now with “Peter Pan” Ballerini reaches the peak again with the hit single being number 1 on both Billboards Hot Country and the Country Airplay charts.

“To finally release my favorite song off my album was already enough for me. But to know that we just made history with it is bigger than I could have ever dreamed,” Ballerini says. “Honestly, being the first woman to do this just inspires me to work hard and to make the best music I can.”

On her Instargam post Ballerini writes, “all it takes is faith, trust, and a little pixie dust” as she thanks her cowriters, Forest Glen Whitehead and Jason Masses as well has her team at Black River Entertainment.

Currently nominated for New Artist of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year at the upcoming CMA Awards, Ballerini is sure to have a busy Fall. If her record breaking and nominations are not enough she begins her first headlining tour, The First Time Tour with two dates already being sold out (tickets here). Them momentum behind Kelsea Ballerini leads me to believe that we haven’t seen the last of this hit maker, in fact it is just the beginning.
