The Season 4 winner of The Voice has been dropping hints all week at a new project…and it’s finally here!
Danielle Bradbery released her new single, “Sway”, today (June 2) off of her new album, anticipated to be released later this year. Co-written by Bradbery, Johan Fransson and GRAMMY Award-winning Emily Weisband, the track exemplifies the 2017 CMT Music Awards nominee’s new sophisticated sound that shows her wide variety of influences including pop, R&B, soul and country.
“It took us three years to get to this place, but we are finally here,” said Bradbery, who also posted a preview of the song on her Twitter account.
“All I’ve ever wanted to do was relate to people through my songs, and I’ve worked so hard to get to a point where my lyrics and sound are true to me. I put my heart into ‘Sway’ and all of the songs on the upcoming project and I think fans will feel that come through when they listen,” she continued.
Fans have already taken to social media to call the catchy tune her “best song yet!” The single is her first release in two years, following the 2015 track “Friend Zone.”

Though Bradbery has been laying low for the last few years, she has been seen making special appearances on Thomas Rhett’s THE HOME TEAM TOUR, performing their duet “Playing With Fire.”

“Sway” is ridiculously catchy, and makes you wanna do just that – sway. Yet, the single shows how much Bradbery’s musicality has grown the last two years. The subtle snaps in the pre-chorus combined with the infectious chorus – if this is just a preview of what is to come from Bradbery – we can’t wait.
“Sway” is available on digital retailers now. What do you think of the new single?
