A date has been announced for Jon Pardi to officially become a member of the Grand Ole Opry.

The Capitol Records Nashville star will officially become a member of the renowned performance venue in Nashville, Tennessee during two shows on October 24th. No other details have been provided.

During the country singer/songwriter’s set at Stagecoach 2023, restauranteur Guy Fieri and acclaimed country music legend Alan Jackson joined Pardi on stage to ask the question all country artists dream of.

“The Grand Ole Opry has always meant a lot to me and everybody in country music, and I’ve been appreciating your music ever since you toured with me a few years ago. So I get the honor to invite you in front of all your Stagecoach friends out there to be the first native from California to become an official member of the Grand Ole Opry,” Jackson said via a video message to a crowd of tens of thousands.

The Dixon, California native responded, “I love California, baby. I moved to Nashville chasing the dream at 22 years old. Now I’m here and I love you guys, I love country music. Thank you everybody, this is an amazing night, I’ll never forget it. I guess, if you wanna come visit Tennessee, I’ll see you at the Grand Ole Opry, huh? I always wondered how this might happen if it was going to. I never imagined anything this great. That was incredible.”

Opry executive producer Dan Rogers also joined the trio to celebrate the news and presented Pardi with an official Grand Ole Opry mic stand speaking, “That mic stand represents the future of country music as well as its incredible history. This night will go down in history, too, both because Jon is the first artist invited to join the Opry on this stage and because he’s the first native Californian to get that call. What a great night!”

Up next, Pardi heads out on his headlining Mr. Saturday Night World Tour this month with dates coming up in the U.S., Canada, and several across Europe including stops in the U.K., Netherlands, Germany, Norway, and Sweden before heading back stateside for his Oct. 24 Opry induction.

Tickets are on sale now for Jon’s performance at (615) 871-OPRY and opry.com.
