Caroline Jones is gearing up for the release of her brand new music video, and Celeb Secrets Country has your exclusive first look at the stunning new visual.
The country songstress is getting super real on this track, as it talks about those “almost the one” relationships where both people love each other but know deep down that there are bigger dealbreakers that they can’t ignore.
“[Those type of] relationships can be the most heartbreaking, because the love that is present and real only makes the dealbreakers in the relationship that much more disappointing and difficult to ignore,” Jones exclusively tells CS Country about the track. “I honestly don’t know if this is a sad song or a happy one!”
With a song so heavy, it only makes sense to have a simple visual to make sure the track’s overall message is portrayed to the listener. Using the gorgeous fields and nature the country of New Zealand has to offer as her backdrop, Jones shares all of her thoughts and emotions from start to finish.
“Not Love” was shot in New Zealand during my 7 month stay there in 2020-2021, during which most of my sophomore album Antipodes was recorded,” she said.
“Not Love” is featured on Caroline’s sophomore album, Antipodes, which was released November 2021 and debuted at #4 on the iTunes Country Chart. The album features Caroline’s first Top 40 hit, “Come In,” which has become a TikTok sensation with its viral line dance that’s racked in over 240 million views and counting.
As for what’s next, Caroline will rejoin Zac Brown Band as a member of the band (and only female!) for their upcoming Out in the Middle Tour. She first opened for ZBB in 2017 and following three consecutive years as their staple opening act, officially joined the band as a special guest in 2021. No stranger to big stages or the road, Jones has performed with many music greats including Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw & Faith Hill, the Eagles, One Republic, Kenny Chesney, Trisha Yearwood, among others.
