Back in July, Blake Shelton officially made Gwen Stefani his wife after hosting an intimate ceremony that was initiated by The Voice host Carson Daly.

Before they said “I Do,” Daly encouraged the lovebirds to write their own vows and Stefani told Shelton to write more, ultimately inspiring Blake to write a personal track titled “We Can Reach The Stars.”

While appearing on Late Night with Seth Myers on Wednesday (October 6), the “God’s Country” singer opened up to the talkshow host about the wedding, the exact moment he was inspired to write “We Can Reach The Stars,” and when fans will be able to hear the track in its entirety.

“She is constantly on my ass about, I should be writing more songs. ‘How come you don’t write more songs?’ And I have gotten lazy about it over the years. And so I decided, ‘Well, you know, I’ll step up and come up with something,’ and so I did.” Shelton explained.

He also shared that “We Can Reach The Stars” will appear on the deluxe version of his recently released album Body Language, which is expected to drop on Friday, December 3rd.

“I’m excited for people to hear it,” he said. “A lot of people ask me about it since they found out that I did that. We’re excited about it. I want people to hear it—I mean, my god, I married Gwen Stefani. I want everybody to hear that! I mean, that’s the ultimate bragging rights.”
