Chris Young is back on the road and fans of the country music icon have proven eager and ready to show out for his talents!
Young sold out his back-to-back headlining shows this past weekend at the Boots in the Park Music Festival in Fresno and Norco, CA. The packed crowd of over 21,000 were present for California’s first festival since the COVID-19 shutdown and Young’s first live full band concert this year.
Those who were lucky enough to be in the presence of this performance can agree it was legendary. Young united the crowd as he performed some of his fan-favorite hits such as, “Gettin’ You Home (The Black Dress Song),” ”I’m Comin’ Over” and “Famous Friends.”
According to a press release, Michael Levine, PD KKGO Los Angeles praised Young for being such a can’t-miss artist in the hearts of Southern California.
“We are thrilled to have concerts back in SoCal led by country superstar Chris Young!,” said Levine. “The sold-out Boots In The Park concert reflects the huge following Chris has out here and how he continues to be one of the top artists for KKGO!”
Showing the love right back at his fans, Young took to social media to share his thoughts on the night.
“Fresno, that was insane, that’s all I can say – it was the first night back, absolutely incredible, it was like 112 today and you guys stayed all the way to the end of the show. It’s just magic…”
Fans of Young may find it to be no surprise the country music superstar sold out his shows. The chart-topper has an impressive roster of nearly five billion career streams and 11 number one hit singles. But the musical icon is not ready to stop there!
Chris is gearing up to release his eight studio album, Famous Friends on August 6. The highly-anticipated album will feature 14 smash hit songs including title track “Famous Friends” with Kane Brown, with collaborations that feature Lauren Alaina and Mitchell Tenpenny.
