Dolly Parton & Katy Perry tease a potentially racy performance – 2016

 

Katy Perry manifested her dream of performing with Dolly Parton at the 2016 ACM Awards into a reality as she was presenting Parton with the Tex Ritter Film Award and they decided to sing together. Doing a medley of Parton’s songs “Coat of Many Colors,” “Jolene” and “9 to 5,” the pair joked in rehearsal about whether or not they would strip on stage. Perry ultimately decided she would just get on her knees to “bow down to the queen,” which she did at the end of their performance.
