Kenny Chesney brings his Mom onstage – 1998
Now an 11-time ACM winner, Kenny Chesney won his first award back in 1998 and had a very special date by his side, his mom Karen.
When he won “Top New Male Vocalist of the Year,” he brought her up onstage while he accepted the award and kept his arm tight around her. It was her first trip to Hollywood and Chesney shared that her highlight was meeting “Bubba” (actor Alan Autry) from the long-running series In the Heat of the Night.
