Country singer Sam Grow is dropping his brand new single “Song About You” and Celeb Secrets Country has the exclusive first look!
The song, which was written by Taylor Phillips, Kenton Bryant and Joey Hyde, is an uptempo, cool track about a guy that wants to hear a song about his girl — not the typical fishing, hunting, drinking songs, but one about her.
“‘Song About You’ just feels like summer to me, and I hope it’ll make people’s playlists so they can make their own memories with it!,” stated Grow. “I’ve been wanting to put out this song since I signed my record deal in 2018. I’m so pumped it got to make the new album and is the lead single.”

“Song About You” marks the first single from Grow’s sophomore album coming later this year via Average Joes Entertainment.
When asked about how the song came about, Sam replies, “This song was pitched to me two years ago after Taylor Phillips wrote it and he wanted me to record it then. His publisher had also pitched it to a few other artists and it was put on hold. After those artists had label shake ups, Taylor came back to me and wanted me to record it — and I had wanted to cut it the first time I heard it. We made sure to include it first on this new project and now it’s our lead-off single.”
A native of Mechanicsville, Maryland, Grow released his debut self-titled EP in 2014, gaining him chart success at #8 on the iTunes Country Albums chart. It was followed by the album, “The Blame,” that charted at #5 on iTunes, #8 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and #2 on Billboard’s Heatseekers albums chart. Most recently, Grow’s album, “Love and Whiskey,” debuted at #1 on iTunes Country Albums chart.
