Academy of Country Music Awards Duo of the Year nominee Maddie & Tae have released their highly awaited sophomore album The Way It Feels featuring the GOLD-certified single “Die From a Broken Heart”. The duo, composed of Maddie Marlow and Taylor Dye, were forced to reschedule their Tourist in This Town Tour, but are still looking for ways to celebrate the album release with their fans.
Fans are invited to join the duo at a virtual listening party and can join the girls on social media (Facebook and YouTube) on April 14th at noon CT while they answer questions and talk about their sophomore album. The duo will also make an appearance this weekend on CMT’s Hot 20 Countdown.
The duo tells US Weekly that they’re in a different place now then they were while writing their debut album Start Here. Marlow tells the publication “I feel like you can hear the changes we’ve experienced going from teenagers to adult women in the new record”, adding that Start Here was written between ages 15 and 18. Dye adds, “Now we are in a completely different chapter of life: we’re wives, we’re wise and we’re confident.” Marlow married high school sweetheart Johan Font (pictured below) in a fall ceremony in Arlington, TN last November and Dye tied the knot with fellow songwriter Josh Kerr earlier this year.

In addition to the top 25 hit “Die From a Broken Heart”, The Way It Feels also features the girls’ current single “Bathroom Floor”. The duo will be bringing both hits, in addition to new music from The Way It Feels, once they are able to hit the road on tour. Rescheduled dates are TBA.
