Ever since JoLivi released her brand-new single “Crooked Crown” a few weeks ago, we find ourselves tapping along to its catchy beat.
Written by JoLivi and Mark McKee and also produced by McKee, the groovy tune holds true to JoLivi’s fun-loving persona and reminds us to roll with the punches. Reminding us of the famous quote “shoot for the moon; even if you miss, you’ll land among stars,” JoLivi says that the song’s message is this — “even if you fall, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and fix your crooked crown.'”
This morning, CS Country is giving you the exclusive first look to the visual which shows fans and viewers the life JoLivi had versus the one she wanted to lead.
“In this video, I wanted to show the life that I had vs. the life I wanted to lead. As a musician, we have to do odd jobs at some point and are always working towards just being able to focus on our career,” JoLivi tells CS Country. “Through all of my odd jobs, I’ve had many times of doubt in all aspects of my life. So this video is about picking yourself up no matter what causes you to fall… and when you do get up, just make sure that crown ain’t crooked!!!”
For those of you that haven’t heard of JoLivi, you will soon. The Hawaiian born singer-songwriter comes from a successful background in pop music and is forlaying onto the country music scene with a soulful approach to the genre. More music from JoLivi will come later this year.
