Sarah Darling is one of our favorite rising country artists for this specific reason — she knows how to make relatable music.
Earlier this year, Darling released her new album Dream Country which is the official follow-up to 2012’s Home To Me EP. Dream Country showcases Darling’s smooth, escapist songwriting style that crosses country, Americana and contemporary pop.
When we think about the title Dream Country, our minds go to that ultimate goal or dream we want to achieve in life. We think about the ups, the downs, the good, and the bad, all while keeping our eye on the ultimate prize. Lucky for us, Darling has the same mindset, saying that she made Dream Country for all of the dreamers out there like herself.
“Dream Country is my heart and soul into a whole album,” Darling told us during CMA Fest. “It’s got sort of a dreamers subject on it. I wrote it when I was getting ready to make the album and its for anyone who has had a dream; the struggles you go through, the ups and downs, and trying to just keep on.”
Dream Country is available everywhere and can be streamed on Spotify here. For more information on Sarah Darling, make sure to follow her on Twitter at @_SarahDarling and on Instagram at @officialsarahdarling.
