Celeb Secrets Country joined Brett Young Monday (July 17) as he celebrated his second consecutive #1 single with “In Case You Didn’t Know” with ASCAP at the brand new FGL House in Nashville, Tennessee. It is no surprise that this love ballad has topped the charts as people everywhere (including us) are raving about it!

Something that was very special about this #1 party was that they showed us how the song came to be through the songwriting process, which was videotaped, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, with Trent TomlinsonTyler Reeve, and Kyle Schlienger. “In Case You Didn’t Know” was written on the last night of their trip as Tomlinson scrolled through his phone looking for ideas he had written down, and “In Case You Didn’t Know” seemed like the perfect line to work off of. The song was written and demoed all in a span of a few hours and they knew it was going to be a hit.

Even though Brett just achieved another #1, he continues to write and strive to keep making great music. While out on the road with Lady Antebellum, he has written with “Charles Kelley three or four times already.” In the past year, he has learned on the road that he “is not superman, but how much music means” to him. He has been working for years on his career, and his recent success has helped him realize how much he cares about his fans and country music.

Make sure you catch him while out on tour and keep up with his life through Instagram and Twitter!
