Filmed with an understated canvas from a live studio session, Carly Pearce delivers hauntingly heartbreaking memories throughout the new music video for her debut single “Every Little Thing,” available here.
Opening with tight shots featuring the bones of each instrument enveloped in a crimson filter and dim glow, director Patrick Tracy captures every little thing at Brown Owl Studio. The sparse set creates a moody visual to match the raw tone of the song that mixes cascading notes. Carly’s dynamic vocals pierce through stinging lyrics like:
The scent that you left on my pillow / The sound of your heartbeat with mine / The look in your eyes like a window / The taste of your kiss soaked in wine / Every little thing / I remember every little thing / The high, the hurt, the shine, the sting / Every little thing.
CMT launched the video during the network’s Hot 20 Countdown over the weekend, further showing their support for the Next Women of Country alum and Listen Up “17 for 2017” artist.
Carly co-wrote “Every Little Thing” with Emily Shackelton and busbee (Maren Morris, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum), who also serves as producer of her debut album on Big Machine Label Group. Ahead of her first single’s official Country radio impact date on March 20, the track was originally discovered as a SiriusXM “Highway Find” and has already garnered over one million streams to date.
Born into Bluegrass, the Kentucky native began touring with a local band at age 11 before taking on six shows a day, five days a week at Dollywood when she was only 16. Now, after eight years collaborating with fellow songwriters in Nashville, a sultry Top 40 hit with Josh Abbott Band, more than 30 appearances on the Grand Ole Opry stage and joining bills with notable artists such as Kelsea Ballerini, Kip Moore, Eli Young Band, Hunter Hayes and Lucy Hale of Pretty Little Liars, Carly will spend the next few months introducing her voice to audiences across the country.
