CS Country: What shows are coming up for you guys?

Zach Swon: “Our summer is filling up. We’ll do a lot of fairs and festivals and you can catch us online and find out where those are. But other than that, we’re concentrating on kinda revisiting with radio and our fans. It’s always cool when you release new music, so that’s kinda what this year is focused around – the new music.”

CS Country: What’s your favorite part about being on stage?

Colton Swon: “I definitely think that it’s just a chance to entertain and be part of letting people get away from reality for a second. Forgetting their problems for 90 minutes or however long a show is and just seeing people react. I could play music in my room if I wanted to, but seeing people’s reaction and how music and entertainment affects people – that’s a great emotion to have and to see.”

CS Country: Can you guys tell us your favorite fan story or any moments on stage that really stood out to you?

Colton Swon: “This past year, we got the opportunity to open for Carrie Underwood all year. And so in doing that, we decided we were gonna try to give a guitar away every show. So we teamed up with Fender and we gave an electric guitar away every show. And my favorite of the show – usually we try to pick out a younger kid – and my favorite part is handing that guitar to that kid and maybe sparking something in them that they didn’t know they had and building their dreams up and maybe they’ll be doing it for somebody else someday. That’s been my favorite past-time this year, is handing that guitar out.”

CS Country: Since we are Celeb Secrets Country, can you tell us a secret about each other that you guys have?

Zach: “I’ll say this, my brother thinks he’s a good cook, but he’s not. And now he has gone gluten-free so everything tastes gross and healthy, which are horrible combinations. So if he ever says he can cook for you – that’s not true.”

Colton: “My brother is secretly the best tetris player in the world. (laughs) It’s unbelieveable and I don’t get it. That, and he just decided wanted to paint one day – pick up painting – and he is like the next Bob Ross. It’s insane, and I don’t get it. He’s just a talented dude but he never talks about those hidden talents.”
