Album of the Year:

  • Black – Dierks Bentley
  • Dig Your Roots – Florida Georgia Line
  • HERO – Maren Morris
  • Ripcord – Keith Urban
  • The Weight of These Wings – Miranda Lambert

CSC Predicts: All well-deserved nominees, it’s difficult to pick just one winner. (Though we were a little surprised to not find Carrie Underwood’s Storyteller on this list!) Dierks showed us a softer side thanks to the hit single, “Different For Girls”. But Maren took us to church with a hit single of her own, “My Church”. We think Dierks Bentley will come out on top though, with Black being this year’s must-listen album.

Single Record of the Year:

  • “Blue Ain’t Your Color” – Keith Urban
  • “H.O.L.Y” – Florida Georgia Line
  • “Humble and Kind” – Tim McGraw
  • “My Church” – Maren Morris
  • “Vice” – Miranda Lambert

CSC Predicts: Maybe blue isn’t our color according to Keith Urban, but winning may be his. Though he’s up against the reigning CMA Song of the Year, “Humble and Kind”, we don’t think he’ll be feeling blue in this category.
