Reigning ACM Female Vocalist of the Year Lainey Wilson is relishing in her newest successes both inside of country music and out.

In late 2022, the singer/songwriter dropped her sophomore record, Bell Bottom Country, which is home to single “Watermelon Moonshine,” which is glazed with nostalgia and first time love. Today, (July 11) the song’s accompanying music video has dropped and we’re absolutely loving it.

The single’s visual landscape depicts fresh, new love; the euphoric kind where neither party has any past experiences and is rigged with crazy and everything in between.

Directed by Stephen and Alexa Kinigopoulos, the video stars Rachel Lynn Matthews and Sam Sherrod who perfectly emulates being a teenager, drunk and in love.

Wilson says about the video, “I’m so excited to premiere the ‘Watermelon Moonshine music video. This song is about the young, wild, crazy love that we all hope to experience. From locking eyes for the first time, to playing spin the bottle with an Ole Smoky mason jar, to being too crazy about each other to tame it, I am so happy with how Rachel Lynn Matthews and Sam Sherrod brought the vision to life through their portrayal of their innocently passionate characters.”

Coupled with the release of the video, Wilson is also dropping her own limited-edition Stanley Quencher H2.0 Flowstate Tumbler is none other than, a watermelon moonshine color. It’s absolutely perfect for the summer, and fans of Wilson and Stanley can purchase one  on

Co-written with Josh Kear and Jordan Schmidt, the ballad also played on the hit TV show Yellowstone where Wilson plays the character Abby. She sings, “Drinkin’ watermelon moonshine / Cut the burn with a little lime / Parkin’ back in them kudzu vines / I was his and every bit of that boy was mine / Too young to know what love was / But we werе learnin’ on a sweet buzz / There’s never nothin’ like the first time / And mine’s always gonna taste like / Watermelon moonshine,”

Fans can catch Lainey singing “Watermelon Moonshine” this summer at festivals including Lollapalooza and Watershed, amidst headlining Red Rocks Amphitheatre and her first arena show at Mohegan Sun before she embarks on HARDY’s The Mockingbird & The Crow tour in August.
